Heart Circles
Heart Circles are semester-based, small groups focused on fostering spiritual growth and building relationships between members through scripture, prayer, discipleship, and shared interests such as fitness, arts and crafts, community service, reading, and more.
A New Approach
Historically, our church has been built and flourished on the biblical focus on family groups. These groups fostered connection, spiritual growth, care, and an effective mechanism to serve God’s mission in sharing Jesus with the world.
While this structure served us well, the challenges of COVID-19, changes in membership, and leadership fatigue have shown us it’s time for a fresh approach. This is not a replacement of the family group model but an upgraded version that reflects the needs of our church today.
Heart Circles Will Allow Us To:
Reconnect with one another
Reignite our passion for biblical community
Respond to the call to grow spiritually, love deeply, and serve others.
Why This Matters
Heart Circles are not just about meeting up—they are about living out the calling God gives us as His church:
Fellowship and Joy: “They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” (Acts 2:46)
Support and Care: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
Unity and Growth: “From Him, the whole body… builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” (Ephesians 4:16)
Get Involved
How Can You Get Involved?
Pray for this new beginning and ask God to help us reconnect as a church family.
Be open to change and embrace the opportunity to try something new and trust that God is working through this fresh direction.
Take a step of faith and sign-up for a group that excites you or calls you higher in your spiritual disciplines.
Consider leading a heart circle for an upcoming semester with the support of leadership to help create a successful initiative.
