The senior citizens of Canterbury Place of West Hartford got a treat on Saturday, January 28 when our teenagers came to entertain them with their talents in singing, dancing, skits, and even kung fu!  Besides playing games, all of our teenagers got the chance to display their talent and/or favorite hobby in a "show-and-tell" format.  Click on the video below to watch one of our teenagers, Ronzel, perform his kung fu action!

Jesus shared parables in his preaching to further illustrate a key point that he was trying to instill in our hearts so that we can better understand who God is and his kingdom as well as our own hearts.  Several of our teenagers got together on a Friday to put together some videos about 3 different parables.  The first video was the parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector, the second was the Parable of the Tower/2 Armies, and finally the Parable of the Narrow Door.  Click on the videos below to watch their work and get a perspective on God's heart about each one.

On Saturday, January 21, several dating couples met in the basement of the church building to hear a lesson on “Communication” and discuss it. At 9 AM, manyt began to gather. Vitalij and Nardine Staroverov have agreed to oversee this two-hour time. After Vitalij’s welcome to all, a fun ice-breaker took place that would introduce the communication topic. Each couple was given a picture. One of the two-some had to share what was on the picture and the other had a few minutes to draw it. At time’s end, we got to see which artist’s rendering looked most like their photo.

Neighbor Day services were held in several locations throughout Connecticut to kick off the new year. On January 29, the South Region of the Greater Hartford congregation continued their study of Galatians with a focus on chapter two, verses 11-21, entitled, “How To Be Saved: Confrontation and Faith.”
